Steffen Bertram

Steffen Bertram has extensive work experience in the IT field. Steffen is currently the Vice President - Global Head of IT at MorphoSys since September 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President - Global Head of Business IT at MorphoSys from July to August 2022.

Before joining MorphoSys, Bertram worked at Gilead Sciences for several years. Steffen'sroles at Gilead Sciences included Senior Director, IT - Global Program Manager SAP Transformation from February 2021 to June 2022, Senior Director, IT - Head of IT ACE (Europe, Canada, Australia & New Zealand) from November 2018 to February 2021, and Associate Director, IT - Commercial IT EMEA & interim Head of Japan IT from August 2016 to October 2018. In these positions, they provided business engagement, portfolio and delivery planning, and leadership in the IT department.

Bertram also has experience at Xantas AG, where they served as CEO / Vorstand from June 2008 to December 2015. Additionally, they worked at Sandoz as Head Global ERP Quality, Security & Training from July 2009 to January 2012, Program Quality Manager - SHAPE (Global ERP/SAP Program) from January 2007 to January 2012, and Global Head ERP Quality Management from June 2008 to June 2009.

Earlier in their career, Bertram held various roles at DHC Dr. Herterich & Consultants GmbH, including Core Service Manager, Senior Consultant, and Project Manager from October 1999 to December 2006.

Steffen Bertram has a diverse education history. In 1996 to 1999, they attended the BA Glauchau - Berufsakademie Sachsen - Staatliche Studienakademie Glauchau where they obtained a degree in Diplom Betriebswirt (BA) with a focus on Wirtschaftsinformatik. Later, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued their Master of Science degree in Global Management at The University of Salford. Additionally, Steffen Bertram obtained a certification as a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) in July 2021 from Scrum.org.
