Patricia Ventura has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Patricia has worked as an Educational Consultant since 2023 and previously served as the Director of Student Support Services at Morris Jeff Community School starting from 2016. Patricia also founded and served as the Chief Consultant at Speducation Consulting from 2015 to 2016. Patricia held the position of Executive Director of Student Support Services at New Beginnings Schools Foundation from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, Patricia worked as a Special Education Specialist at the Recovery School District from 2011 to 2012. Patricia also has experience as a Special Education Professor at Dillard University from 2000 to 2011. Patricia started their career in education as an Educational Diagnostician and Special Education Teacher at the Orleans Parish School Board from 1991 to 2000, and as a Special Education Teacher at the St. Charles Parish School Board from 1990 to 1991.

Patricia Ventura attended the University of New Orleans, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree in Political Science and Government (B.A.) and Special Education & ESL/ELL, respectively. Patricia was also A.B.D. (All But Dissertation) at the University of New Orleans, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Special Education. In terms of additional certifications, Patricia has earned the following: English as a Second Language (ESL) K-12 from the Louisiana Department of Education in August 1998, Educational Diagnostician K-12 in August 1995, and Mild/Moderate Disabilities 1-12 in December 1991, both from the Louisiana Department of Education.
