Ankit Kumar, Ph.D

Ankit Kumar, Ph.D has extensive work experience in the field of energy systems and electrochemistry. Ankit currently works as a Research Scientist at Morrow Batteries since April 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Manager-Energy Systems-Electrochemistry at Mahindra Group from June 2022 to May 2023. Ankit also has a strong research background, having worked as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from March 2022 to June 2022, and as a PHD Scholar at IISc from August 2015 to March 2022. During their PHD, Ankit focused on the development of supercapacitors and lead-carbon hybrid ultracapacitors using transition metal oxides, carbides, and sulphides.

Ankit Kumar, Ph.D, pursued their education in a progressive and specialized manner, delving deep into the field of electrochemistry. Their educational journey commenced in 2011 at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Honors) degree in Chemistry in 2014.

Building upon their undergraduate degree, Ankit enrolled at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2015. There, they pursued a Master of Science degree, focusing on the intricacies of Electrochemistry. This educational experience spanned from 2015 to 2017, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Driven by their passion for research in energy storage devices, Ankit continued their academic pursuits at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), embarking on a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in 2017. During this period, lasting until 2022, they dedicated their studies to Electrochemical Energy Storage Devices, with a specific focus on Supercapacitors and Batteries.

Through their progressive educational history, Ankit Kumar has honed their expertise in the field of electrochemistry, specializing in the application of electrochemical energy storage devices. Their culmination in a Ph.D. highlights their commitment to research and academic excellence in their chosen field.
