Vinay Simha has over 20 years of work experience in various technical roles. Vinay is currently working as the Principal Wireless PHY Systems Engineer at Morse Micro since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore as the Architect, Network Modem L1/PHY SW starting from September 2019.

From 2013 to 2019, Vinay worked at Intel Corporation, where they held multiple roles including Deep Learning SW Technical Lead, Basestation L1 layer (4G/5G PHY) Technical Lead, and Senior GNSS Specialist. Vinay joined Intel as part of STE connectivity business acquisition and contributed to the development of next-gen GNSS chips, system design, and firmware development. Vinay implemented various features like satellite tracking, navigation data decoding, spectrum scanning, and mitigation of jammer effects.

Before Intel, they worked as a Senior Specialist at ST-Ericsson from September 2012 to July 2013. Vinay also gained experience at Broadcom as a Principal Software Engineer from September 2010 to August 2012, where they developed embedded software for GPS/GNSS mobile applications.

Earlier in their career, Vinay held roles such as DSP Manager at Rosum from October 2007 to August 2010, Sr. Systems Lead Engineer at Texas Instruments, Sr. Digital Design Engineer at SigmaTel, DSP Engineer at Rosum Corporation, and Digital Design Engineer at Dotcast Inc.

Throughout their career, Vinay has demonstrated expertise in wireless communication, deep learning, GNSS chip development, firmware development, embedded software development, and digital design.

Vinay Simha completed their Bachelors in Electronics and Communication at Bangalore University from 1995 to 1999. Vinay then pursued a Masters in Engineering with a specialization in Signal Processing and Communication at Arizona State University from 2000 to 2002.
