Rachel Novick

Director Of Sustainability at Morton Arboretum

Rachel Novick, PhD, LEED AP, serves as the Director of Sustainability at The Morton Arboretum, where responsibilities include developing climate change and sustainability education programming for diverse audiences. Previously, Rachel Novick held the position of Director of Sustainability Studies at the University of Notre Dame, advising on sustainability curriculum and leading the design of interdisciplinary capstone projects. Concurrently, Rachel Novick served as an Associate Professor of the Practice, guiding students in creating impactful projects, and co-founded the university's Office of Sustainability. Experience also includes consultancy for ITR Concession Company LLC on LEED projects and authorship of an environmental report for the Connecticut Fund for the Environment. Rachel Novick earned a PhD in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology from Yale University, alongside degrees in Forestry & Environmental Studies and Biology.
