Sorayah Surkatty has an extensive work experience in various roles. In 2021, they began working as People Operations Manager and Executive Assistant at Mosaic.tech. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Dispatcher & Payroll Assistant at Bee's Plumbing and Heating, where they developed employee handbooks and dispatch runbook/training materials. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as Choir Coordinator at Endolyne Children's Choir, where they managed social media and WordPress site. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as Office Manager and Legal Assistant at FKSDO Law, where they assisted the Accounts Receivable/Payable department with check processing and invoice generation. Lastly, from 2012 to 2013, they worked as Stage Manager for the Vashon Opera Company's productions of "Cosi Fan Tutte" and "Die Fledermaus", where they assisted the Music and Artistic Director for set, cast, and music production. Additionally, they worked as Executive Assistant at Yakindo Web Designs from 2012 to 2013, where they performed SEO updates on websites and social media integration for clients and conducted quality assurance, including proofreading, for new website/content launches.

Sorayah Surkatty obtained a Vocal Performance Bachelor's Degree from Pacific Lutheran University between 2009 and 2012. In June 2022, they earned a certification in Employee Experience and Design Thinking from AIHR | Academy to Innovate HR.
