Kathleen Jodoin PharmD, BCPS has extensive work experience in various pharmacy roles. Kathleen started their career as a Pharmacy Intern at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where they underwent training in central supply, IV room, and medication procurement procedures. Kathleen also gained experience in compounding TPN and IV admixtures.

After completing their pharmacy internship, Kathleen worked as a Pharmacy Intern at Wal-Mart Pharmacy. In this role, they filled prescriptions, counseled patients on medication usage and safety, and organized a community health fair. Kathleen also participated in a leadership development program.

Subsequently, Kathleen served as an Independent Contractor at Natural Standard, a pharmacist-created medical publisher for complementary and alternative medicine. Kathleen reviewed medical literature to author and critique consumer and professional monographs.

Kathleen then became a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, Long Island University. Kathleen taught physical assessment and pharmacotherapy skills lab courses, utilizing active learning strategies to enhance student engagement and understanding. Kathleen earned a teaching certificate during this tenure.

Following their position at the college, Kathleen joined Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center as a PGY-1 Pharmacy Resident. Their responsibilities included providing pharmacokinetic, therapeutic drug monitoring, and renal dose adjustment services. Kathleen also engaged in formulary management, in-services, and antimicrobial stewardship. Additionally, Kathleen staffed in various pharmacy settings and served as a consultant pharmacist for medication regimen reviews.

In 2013, Kathleen began working at Mount Sinai Medical Center Miami Beach as a Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator. In this role, they operated an infectious disease/kinetic consult program and provided therapeutic drug monitoring, renal dose adjustments, and formulary management. Kathleen also conducted departmental in-services and facilitated interdisciplinary communication regarding medication information.

During their tenure at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Kathleen took on additional roles, including Clinical Pharmacist in Internal Medicine and ASP Lead. Kathleen participated in daily rounds, patient care initiatives, and played a significant role in renal and anticoagulant drug monitoring, non-formulary requests, and heart failure therapy optimization and education.

Kathleen has also been involved in academia, serving as an Adjunct Faculty in the Physician Assistant Program at Miami Dade College and as the Founding Assistant Dean of Experiential Education and Assistant Professor at Larkin University College of Pharmacy.
