Pete Devine

Trip Leader at MT Sobek

Pete Devine is a seasoned outdoor educator and naturalist with extensive experience in leading outdoor programs. Currently serving as a Trip Leader for MT Sobek since January 2018, Pete has also enjoyed a semi-retired role since May 2021 with Biking, Birding and Hiking. Previously, Pete held the position of Resident Naturalist at Yosemite Conservancy from May 2005 to August 2021, focusing on educating donors and visitors in Yosemite National Park. Earlier in their career, Pete was the Education Director at Yosemite Institute from 1988 to 2001, where oversight of a skilled faculty of outdoor education professionals was a highlight. Pete holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from The Colorado College and attended the Ranger Academy at Santa Rosa Junior College in California.
