Stefan Voeten is a seasoned acoustical consultant and noise specialist with extensive experience in environmental noise control and architectural acoustics, currently serving at Movares since January 1995. Voeten possesses specialized knowledge in the physics of noise emission from bridges, railway noise, and sound propagation near sound barriers. Prior to joining Movares, Voeten worked as an Environmental Noise Specialist at Omgevingsdienst regio Utrecht, focusing on noise mitigation for road and rail traffic and conducting various noise studies. Early career experience includes working as a sound technician at Theater Kikker, where Voeten was responsible for sound equipment setup and acoustics for live music performances. Voeten holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Saxion University of Applied Sciences and has pursued further education in physics at Utrecht University and Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
