Ping Peter Xie

Ping Peter Xie has a diverse background in various industries spanning over 20 years. Ping Peter is currently the VP of Industrial Sensor Module at Movella, a company that specializes in hardware, software, and data analytics for motion sensing. Before that, they served as the President of Bartec Explosion Proof Applliance (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, a world leader in explosion protection. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Dematic China, a global supplier of automated logistics and materials handling solutions. Additionally, they held leadership positions at Lightway Solar Energy Inc, GCL Solar Energy Ltd. and GCL Solar System Ltd, Hanwha Solar (formerly Solarfun Corp), NeoPhotonics, Bookham Inc (formerly New Focus Corp), JDS Uniphase Corp., and Los Alamos National Lab. Throughout their career, Ping Peter Xie has demonstrated a strong track record in leadership, business development, and industry expertise.

Ping Peter Xie earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1986. Ping Peter then pursued further education and obtained an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan from 1986 to 1990. Following this, Xie completed a Ph.D. in Applied Physics at the University of Michigan from 1990 to 1992. Later on, they attended CKGSB (Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business) from 2007 to 2010 to earn an EMBA with a focus on Business Administration and Management.
