Rui Zhang

Rui Zhang's work experience includes roles at various companies. In 2013, Rui worked as an intern at Intel Corporation. The following year, in 2014, Rui served as a Software Engineer Intern at HP Vertica. From 2015 to 2022, Rui worked at Pinterest, starting as a Software Engineer and eventually becoming a Staff Software Engineer. During their time at Pinterest, Rui led a team focusing on HBase, Time series database, and Real-time analytics store. Rui also designed and implemented Pinterest's in-house time series database. In 2022, Rui joined Snorkel AI as a Staff Software Engineer. Most recently, in 2023, Rui became the Head of Engineering at HeyGen.

Rui Zhang pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2009 to 2013. In 2012, Rui Zhang also attended UCLA as a visiting student, although the specific field of study is not mentioned. Later, from 2013 to 2014, Rui Zhang studied at Carnegie Mellon University, obtaining a Master's degree in Very Large Information System. Additionally, Rui Zhang completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" certification course from Coursera in June 2014.
