Catherine McManus

Catherine McManus has extensive work experience in the seafood industry. Catherine is currently serving as the Operations Director Farming (Ireland) at Mowi since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Mowi Ireland and Marine Harvest Group as a Technical Manager from 2019 to 2022. Before joining Mowi, they were the Quality Manager at Hydro Seafood from 1995 to 2000. Catherine also held positions as the Laboratory Manager at Fanad Fisheries from 1987 to 1995 and as a Post graduate student bursary at Fisheries Research Centre in 1987. Catherine began their career at Abbott Laboratories as a Student placement in 1986 and worked as a Research Biologist at Sherkin Island Marine Research Station from 1983 to 1983.

Catherine McManus has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Coastal Zone Management from Ulster University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Science & Technology from Atlantic Technological University in 1987. In addition to their academic qualifications, Catherine has obtained a certification in the Mowi Next Executive Program from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning in 2021.
