Alex Chen

Alex Chen is a highly experienced scientist specializing in the fields of bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Mozart Therapeutics, Inc. since August 2022, Alex previously held roles at Neoleukin Therapeutics, where significant contributions were made as the lead scientist for the Treg Agonist program, as well as providing in vitro and in vivo research support for autoimmune and oncology initiatives. Prior experiences include postdoctoral fellowships at Seattle Children's Research Institute and the University of Washington, where research focused on regulatory T cells and macrophage polarization, respectively. Alex's early career included positions as a Methods Developer at Sirna Therapeutics, responsible for laboratory automation, and a Process Development Intern at PDL BioPharma, working on antibody production optimization. Academic credentials include a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Washington and a BS in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
