Brad Ochocki Szasz

Brad Ochocki Szasz, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Inference Data Scientist at Mozilla, a position held since August 2022. Prior to this role, Szasz gained extensive experience as a Senior Data Engineer and Software Engineer at Blue Onion Labs Inc. and as a Senior Data Scientist and Data Team Lead at Croptix, where leadership focused on developing machine learning models for detecting citrus crop diseases. Early career roles included Data Scientist at MealPal, where time-series models were built to predict customer behavior, and as a Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science, creating a Chrome extension to filter abusive Twitter content. Szasz's academic background includes a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Rice University, complemented by a Master’s degree with Distinction from the University of Nottingham and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
