Elena Michel

Elena Michel has worked in the field of plant molecular biochemistry since 2011. Elena began their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Michigan State University in 2011. Elena then moved on to Cornell University in 2015, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Candidate in the van Wijk Group of the Plant Biology Section of the School of Integrative Plant Science. Her thesis was titled “Dynamics and Functions of Plastid Lipoprotein Particles”. In 2020, they became a Postdoctoral Associate at the Boyce Thompson Institute, and in 2022 they were promoted to Senior Scientist at Mozza.

Elena Michel attended Michigan State University from 2011 to 2015, where they received a Bachelor's Degree in Plant Molecular Biology. Elena then attended Cornell University from 2015 to 2020, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Molecular Biology.
