Andy Martinez

Andy Martinez has extensive experience in the metals industry, with roles at Selmet, Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI), and currently at MP Materials. At Selmet, they served as the Process Engineering Manager. At ATI, they held positions including Principal Metallurgist, Manager of Process & Product Development, Director of Process Engineering, and Director of Market and Product Development. Currently, at MP Materials, they serve as the Director of Magnet Technology and previously held the role of Director of Product and Process Engineering, Magnetics. Their work focuses on restoring rare earth supply chains and manufacturing capacity in the United States.

Andy Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Arizona. Andy later pursued a Master of Science (MS) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
