Lauren Duhamel is a Venture Fellow at MPM BioImpact since December 2023 and a PhD Candidate in the K. Dane Wittrup Lab at the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, focusing on engineering novel cancer immunotherapies. Lauren has held leadership roles as Director and Associate in the Entrepreneurship Initiative at the MIT Biotech Group, and was a Teaching Assistant for a curriculum on engineering entrepreneurship at the University of Pennsylvania. Previous experience includes internships at SmartPharm Therapeutics, Inc., and Bristol Myers Squibb, where Lauren contributed to preclinical development and process characterization, alongside research assistant work in ALS at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, expected to graduate in 2025.
