THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION, BASED IN OUR BANGALORE OFFICE. 

THE ROLE

You’ll be the first point of contact regarding loan processing with our university partners, students, and fund administrators. Your focus will be to own and manage the certification and disbursement process, communicate with university financial aid offices, partner with all business units to implement processes, and successfully manage our loan portfolio. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Managing the end-to-end loan processing and disbursement process for  U.S. and Canada
  • Building effective relationships by proactively connecting with universities and servicers to help them process and troubleshoot loan disbursements
  • Managing communication with the borrowers to resolve their loan processing and disbursement related queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Auditing loan data periodically to ensure data integrity 
  • Proactively identifying and troubleshooting technical gaps in loan processing by tracking and analyzing loan data and closely partnering with the tech team for swift resolution
  • Collaborating with MPOWER’s global finance, customer success, and marketing teams to troubleshoot and optimize certification, disbursement, and loan transfer processes

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree or higher preferred
  • 3+ years of experience working in financial operations 
  • Passion for customer service and relationship management with an innate sense of service and empathy for others
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and comfortable interacting with customers, schools and partners via multiple communication channels. 
  • Understanding of banking, lending, financial services or personal finance with the ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent at documentation
  • Proven ability to apply critical thinking to complicated problems for timely and effective resolution
  • Passion for excellence: constantly striving to improve professional skills and business operations

A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple-time zones and sites!

In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
