Chief Operations and Business Transformation Officer at MPX

John Stevens has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the Chief Operations and Business Transformation Officer at MPX since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operations Officer at MPX from October 2018.

Before joining MPX, John had a long tenure at New England Truck Tire Centers, Inc., where they held various leadership roles. John was the President from January 2015 to September 2018, overseeing all divisions and locations of the organization. As the Vice President of Operations from January 2009 to January 2015, they were responsible for ten locations across four states and led the Emergency Road Service Program. John also served as the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer from September 2007 to December 2008.

Before their career in the private sector, John served in the United States Air Force. John worked as a Standardization and Evaluation Pilot from April 2004 to July 2007, leading a training team and managing visual navigation and formation standardization, evaluation, and training. From June 1999 to April 2004, they served as a B-1B Lancer Pilot.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated strong leadership skills, innovation, and expertise in operations, finance, and training.

John Stevens has a comprehensive education history. John obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. After a gap of five years, they pursued higher education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Masters in Business from the University of West Florida - College of Business, between 2004 and 2006.

In 2018, John attended MIT Sloan School of Management for a short-term program on the topic of "Internet of Things - Business Implications and Opportunities," but did not obtain a specific degree from this program.

In addition to their academic achievements, John Stevens has acquired several certifications. In 2003, they obtained Commercial Single and Multiengine Land, Instrument (CSEL and CMEL) certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration. In 2017, they pursued and obtained an Amateur Radio, General Class certification from the Federal Communications Commission. Most recently, in 2021, John obtained the Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
