Aaron Heiss

Senior Director, Integrated Pharma Solutions at MRIGlobal

Aaron Heiss has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Aaron began their career as a Senior Scientist at Medtronic in 1999, before moving on to Ricerca Biosciences as Section Head in 2001. Aaron then joined Johnson Matthey Fine Chemicals as Manager of Business Development in 2007.

In 2013, Aaron joined Dr. Reddy's Laboratories as a Senior Technology Manager, where they played a global role in the development and commercialization of steroids and prostaglandins for the Custom Pharma Services group. Aaron stayed with the company until 2015.

Since 2015, Aaron has been working at MRIGlobal as the Senior Director and Global Head of Business Development for Pharmaceutical Sciences. In this role, they oversee a team and focuses on preclinical to clinical lifecycle management for new chemical entities (NCEs) in various commercial sectors. Aaron has successfully grown the business almost tenfold within five years.

Aaron Heiss has an extensive education history spanning several years. Aaron completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Emory University between the years 1985 and 1989. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry, specializing in Synthesis, at the University of Pittsburgh from 1989 to 1991. Continuing their academic career, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry with a focus on Molecular Recognition at Stony Brook University from 1991 to 1996. Aaron then pursued postdoctoral studies in Organic Chemistry at the University of Birmingham from 1996 to 1997 as a BBSRC Fellow. Later, from 1997 to 1999, Aaron completed a PostDoc at UCLA, specializing in Organic Chemistry. Lastly, they furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree, specializing in Business/Marketing, at Cleveland State University from 2004 to 2006.
