Cynthia Zimmerman

Cynthia Zimmerman is a Senior Science Advisor at MRIGlobal, specializing in clinical, regulatory, and medical device development for in vitro diagnostic products, with a focus on supporting US government and industry clients toward FDA clearance since June 2013. Previously, Cynthia held positions at Akonni Biosystems, including Senior Scientist in Diagnostics Program Management and MFG QA/QC Scientist III, where responsibilities included overseeing QA/QC for microarray manufacturing and leading assay development for molecular diagnostics. Cynthia also worked at Orchid Cellmark as Forensic Contract Supervisor, managing a team of forensic DNA analysts, and served as a Critical Care RN at Frederick Memorial Healthcare Systems, providing critical cardiac care. Cynthia holds a BA in Biology from Hood College and an Associate of Arts in Registered Nursing from Frederick Community College.
