Maya Rios

Maya Rios is a columnist at Ms. Magazine, where since January 2023, contributions include co-authoring articles on challenges faced by women in technology and interviewing female professionals in data science and machine learning. Previously, Maya held the position of Junior Technology Director at the Northwest Indigenous Language Institute from January to December 2022, focusing on website management, digital conversion of children's educational materials, and programming an interactive map of native language regions. Maya also served as an Operations Team Member at the University of Oregon from September 2020 to December 2021 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science at the University of Oregon, expected to graduate in 2025.
