Zafar Abbas

Zafar Abbas has over 17 years of work experience in the IT industry. Zafar started their career at AmSoft Systems as a Software Engineer in 2004. After working there for a year, they moved to Mahindra Comviva, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer from 2005 to 2008. Zafar then joined IBM as a Technical Lead and worked there for four years. In 2012, they transitioned to Infosys as a Technology Lead and remained there until 2017. Zafar then joined Virtusa as an Architect and worked for them for four years. Their most recent role is at msg global solutions, where they started as a Principal Consultant in 2021 and was later promoted to Business Unit Head in 2023.

Zafar Abbas has a diverse education history. Zafar began their academic journey by completing their education at Aligarh Muslim University from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained their SSSC degree, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Following this, from 1997 to 2000, Zafar attended the University of Lucknow, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree, majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science.

Zafar continued their educational pursuits at Jamia Hamdard from 2001 to 2004, where they successfully completed their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.

Additionally, Zafar has obtained several professional certifications to further enhance their skills. In 2018, they received the Java certification from Brainbench. Later, in 2022, they completed the Springboot Microservices course from Udemy. Lastly, in 2023, Zafar earned a certification in Python programming for Data Science from Mumbai University Mumbai.
