Michael Hammond

Michael Hammond has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Michael currently holds the position of Vice President, Public Sector Growth at MTM, Inc. Michael previously worked as Regional Vice President, Medicaid/Dual Eligibles Strategy and Business Development at Humana from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they served as Vice President at UnitedHealth Group, where they held roles such as Vice President, Product Strategy and Partnership Development at OptumHealth from 2018 to 2020, and Vice President, Public Sector Solutioning at OptumHealth from 2016 to 2018. Before UnitedHealth Group, they worked at Centene Corporation as Vice President, Business Development and Business Integration - Health Systems Group from 2015 to 2016, Vice President, Business Development from 2013 to 2015, and as a Business Development Consultant and Behavioral Health Subject Matter Expert from 2012 to 2013. Before that, they held positions at the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, including Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary for Health Care Policy from 1997 to 1999, and Director of Research and Planning, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health Care Policy from 1996 to 1997. Michael began their career as a Parole Officer at the Kansas Department of Corrections from 1991 to 1995.

Michael Hammond has a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Baker University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. Michael also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Psychology from Washburn University, obtained from 1982 to 1986. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma in General Studies from Shawnee Heights High School from 1979 to 1982. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned a certification in Optimal Product Management and Product Marketing from the 280 Group in 2018.
