Lauretta Theys

Lauretta Theys is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in strategic human capital management across multiple sectors and regions. Currently serving as the Head HR for MTN Group in South Africa and Dubai since July 2019, Lauretta oversees various functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, and leadership development. Prior to this role, Lauretta held the position of Head Human Capital for Standard Bank Group's Information Technology across 20 African countries, and functioned as a Human Capital Business Partner at Absa Group. Lauretta's earlier career includes significant roles at PwC SDC, Investec, and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. Educational qualifications include a BA in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand, an MBA, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and certifications in project management and agile methodologies.
