Janne Puumalainen

Janne Puumalainen is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in news reporting and correspondency. Currently serving as Europe correspondent and news reporter at MTV Oy since January 2020, Janne previously held roles as a US correspondent and news reporter at the same organization from November 2017 to December 2019. Janne began a journalism career at Ilta-Sanomat in late 2017 and worked as a news reporter at Mediahub Helsinki Oy for a brief period in summer 2017. An internship at Helsingin Sanomat in early 2016 involved writing stories and managing social media accounts. Additionally, Janne contributed as Director of Social Media for UNESCO during the World Press Freedom Day 2016 event. Janne holds a degree from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2017.
