Jeb Burns

Jeb Burns has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Jeb started their career in 2001 as the Chief Investment Officer of MERS of Michigan. In 2011, they became an Investment Committee Member at Western Michigan University. In 2014, they served as the President and Chair of the Development Committee at Mackinac Associates. From 2015 onwards, Jeb held several positions at the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute, including Immediate Past Chairman of the Board of Directors and member of the Nominations & Governance Committee. In 2016, they became the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the National Association of State Investment Officers. Additionally, they served as an Advisory Board Member at Net Alpha Financial Systems, LLC in 2020 and Thomas O'Connor Strategic Advisors in 2020, and as a Board Member at Sunshine Silver Mining & Refining Corporation in 2022. Currently, Jeb is an Advisory Board Member at CG Financial Services and a President & Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Michigan Early Stage Venture Investment Corporation.

Jeb Burns has a BA degree in History and Political Science from Western Michigan University. Jeb also holds an MPA (Master of Public Administration) degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from Wayne State University. In addition to their formal education, Jeb has obtained various certifications, including the Master Professional Director - Private Company certification from the American College of Corporate Directors in 2018. Jeb has also completed the Business and Community Leadership Development Program from the Michigan Chamber of Commerce in 2011. Moreover, Jeb has undergone Leadership Development training at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2006. Jeb also has certifications in Effective Communications & Human Relations/Skills for Success from Dale Carnegie in 2001 and the Competent Communicator Certification from Toastmasters International.
