Sarah Stamper, PhD has a diverse work experience in various research and leadership roles. Sarah is currently serving as Chief Research Officer at murmuration since 2023. Previously, they were a Visiting Scientist at Johns Hopkins University from 2013 to the present, where they led a collaborative research group in applying experimental approaches to understand biological systems. Sarah also worked as an SVP Science & Innovation at Helm (2021-2023) and VP Research (2020-2021). Sarah has experience in strategy consulting as the Director of Research at Art & Science Group (2018-2020) and as a Faculty member at McDonogh School (2015-2018). Sarah has a background in teaching and curriculum development from their time as a Teaching Fellow at Virginia Tech (2012-2013). Sarah's extensive research experience includes roles as a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University (2009-2012), a Laboratory Manager at Brown University (2006-2008), and a participant in the Neural Systems & Behavior summer program at the Marine Biological Laboratory (2008). Sarah Stamper, PhD has a strong educational background in the field of psychology and neuroscience. Sarah received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from the New College of Florida in 2006. Following that, they pursued further studies and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Psychological & Brain Sciences from The Johns Hopkins University in 2012. Prior to their doctoral studies, Sarah completed their postgraduate education in neuroscience at Brown University from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Sarah holds a certification as an Open Water Diver (SCUBA) from the Scuba Schools International, which they received in July 1998.
