Kristina M Simonsen has over 30 years of work experience, starting in 1989 as a Customer Service Representative at Citibank. In 1997, they worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Discovery Networks, where they supported the sales department and attended community image programs. From 1998 to 1999, they served as an Assistant to the Executive Vice-President of Development at Telescene Film Group, managing administration and operations for the Los Angeles office. In 2003, they became the Studio Manager & Shoot Producer at Dorothy Low Photography, a role they held until 2005. Simonsen then joined Joe Goode Studio as the Studio Director, where they served as a Lead Liaison and Curatorial Assistant for national and international gallery and museum exhibitions. Their responsibilities included creating presentations, developing direct marketing and social media strategies, and supporting galleries in sales strategies. Simonsen also created a website for the studio and produced opportunities for audience engagement. Since 2005, they have been operating their own photography business, Kristina Simonsen Photography. In February 2022, they joined the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) as the Managing Photographer.

Kristina M Simonsen has attended the College of Southern Nevada, where they studied Business. Kristina M has also studied Photography at the Otis College of Art and Design. Prior to their college education, they attended Zaragoza American High School. The specific degree obtained or completed dates for these educational experiences are not provided.
