Monte Siler has a diverse work experience in facilities management and service roles. Monte is currently the Director of Facilities at the Museum of Life and Science since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Facilities Manager at the same company from April 2021 to March 2022 and as a Facilities Engineer from August 2019 to April 2021. Before joining the Museum of Life and Science, they were a Service Manager at Apartment Dynamics in June 2019 and at Cortland from September 2018 to July 2019. Monte also worked at General Services Corporation as a Service Manager for a substantial period from June 2005 to September 2018. Monte Siler has previous experience as the Durham County Sheriff from December 2001 to June 2004 and as a Building Engineer at the Goldsboro Housing Authority from June 1996 to December 2001.
Monte Siler earned an Associate's degree in HVAC-R from Wayne Community College in the years 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, in 2000 to 2001, they completed officer training at Durham Technical Community College, receiving a BDOT. In 1999, Monte Siler obtained a certificate for an Energy Savers Course focused on Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration Maintenance Technology/Technician from CP&L.
