Charlotte Upton has extensive experience in project management and coordination. Charlotte started their career at Lakeland Arts in 2008, where they served as a Project Coordinator for the Windermere Steamboat Museum redevelopment project. Charlotte then advanced to the role of Project Manager, overseeing the project until 2018. After that, they worked as a Project Manager at the National Trust from 2018 to 2021. Charlotte then joined the National Railway Museum as a Client Project Manager from November 2021 to May 2022, and subsequently as a Project Director until November 2022. Currently, they are employed as a Project Director at the Museum of Science and Industry starting from November 2022. Additionally, Charlotte has contributed their expertise as a Board Trustee at Animal Rescue Cumbria from August 2017 to November 2021.
Charlotte Upton completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from The University of Sheffield from 2005 to 2008. Charlotte also participated in a Clore Leadership Short Course, although the dates of attendance were not provided. In terms of additional certifications, Charlotte obtained the APM Project Management Qualification from the Association for Project Management in December 2019. Furthermore, they hold the Associateship of the Museums Association (AMA) credential from the Museums Association, although the specific date of acquisition is unknown.
