Laura May

Laura May has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Laura started their career in 2004 at Eaton Music Ltd, where they worked in copyright and royalties for five years. Laura then joined Brighten Jeffrey James as a Royalty Manager from 2009 to 2012. Following that, they worked as a Finance Manager at Impresario Festivals Plc from 2013 to 2015. Laura then held various roles at Turn First Artists from 2015 to 2019, including Royalty Accounts / Finance Manager. In 2016, they worked as a Royalty accounts and finance manager at First Access Entertainment until 2017, when they joined The Music Royalty Co as a Financial Controller at Cooking Vinyl until 2019. Since 2012, Laura has been working as a Freelancer, specializing in royalty analysis, accounting, audit, and copyright. In 2020, they became a Director at Music Publishers Association (UK). Finally, in 2017, Laura also became a Director at May Music Limited.

Laura May attended Denefield School from 1992 to 1999, but did not obtain a degree or focus on a specific field of study during that time. Following their time at Denefield School, they attended the University of Surrey from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree with a focus on Music.
