Head Of Lifestyle Business at MUSINSA

HL Choi has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2007, they started their career as an Activity Coordinator at EF Education First. From 2009 to 2011, they worked as a Product Manager at SK Telecom, where they conceptualized and launched Smart Wallet, a successful mobile wallet app in Korea. They also led partnerships with large retailers and conglomerates to increase user engagement.

From 2011 to 2018, Choi joined SK planet, where they held multiple positions. As a Product Manager, they accelerated the growth of Smart Wallet by acquiring 10 million users and 200 brand partners. They also developed a partner-oriented back-end system for campaign execution and revenue generation. They later became a Senior Business Development Manager, leading platform strategy, planning, and working culture transformation.

In 2018, Choi joined WorldFirst as the Head of Partnerships and Sales, where they managed strategic partnerships and sales operations. They then moved to Ant Group as the Head of Commercial for the WorldFirst business in Korea. In this role, they led various aspects of the Korean business, including business development, sales, operation, pricing, and P&L management. They built a strong business foundation through partnerships with financial institutions, eCommerce marketplaces, payment service providers, logistics, and government agencies.

Afterward, Choi worked at Coupang, initially as the Executive Talent Strategist, responsible for talent strategy implementation. They then transitioned to Technical Program Management, where they focused on fashion and played a key role in executing technical programs. Finally, they took on a role in global business development and international brand acquisition as part of the fashion team.

Currently, Choi holds the position of Head of New Business Development at both MUSINSA and 29CM, starting in 2022.

HL Choi has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Seoul National University. Additionally, they completed a VPAL Certificate Program in FinTech from Harvard University. HL also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Sogang University. Furthermore, they pursued a field of study in Entertainment Business Management at Vancouver Film School.
