Matt Zavala has an extensive work experience in creative leadership roles within the advertising industry. Matt is currently the EVP, Executive Creative Director at Mustache since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Edelman as the EVP, Executive Creative Director, overseeing creative for tech-focused lines of business and leading all creative for the Unilever portfolio of brands in the U.S. Matt has also served as Creative Director at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, working on brands such as Google, Schick, Macy's, and T. Rowe Price, focusing on creating digital activations and campaigns. At R/GA, they led the creative team for the L'Oréal Paris account, handling digital campaigns, social channels, platform experience, and digital retail initiatives. Matt was also an Associate Creative Director at Razorfish, responsible for digital activations for the Mercedes-Benz account and exploring brand extensions. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Creative Director at Digitas on the Samsung Global and U.S. Digital accounts. Their earlier experience includes roles as an Associate Creative Director at R/GA, Sr. Art Director at FCB New York, and Art Director at Ogilvy & Mather, where they conceived and designed digital campaigns for clients such as IBM, Cisco Systems, Jaguar, and BP.

Matt Zavala attended Western Kentucky University from 1996 to 2000 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising.
