Ramesh R

Ramesh R has extensive work experience in the financial industry, particularly in foreign exchange and treasury management. Ramesh has held various roles of increasing responsibility in different organizations.

From 2004 to 2008, Ramesh worked as a Cluster Head at UAE Exchange India, where they were responsible for foreign exchange, leisure, and payments. Ramesh then served as the Head of Agency Business, overseeing sales, distribution, and market development. From 2010 to 2015, they assumed the position of Product Head, focusing on prepaid instruments, international payments, and banknotes. Ramesh also served as the Department Head for foreign exchange, treasury, banknotes, and international payments from 2015 to 2019.

In 2019, Ramesh joined Unimoni as the Business Unit Head for foreign exchange, tours, and travel. Ramesh held this position until 2020 when they moved to InterMiles (Jet Privilege Pvt. Ltd). At InterMiles, Ramesh served as the Leader of Sales and Market Development for financial products. Their responsibilities included leading foreign exchange treasury, business, and product innovation. Ramesh was also involved in process improvement, digital innovation, digital transformation, and AML & KYC policy implementation.

Currently, Ramesh R works at Muthoot Pappachan Group as the Deputy Vice President. Ramesh has been with the company since 2021 and currently holds the position of Business Head.

From 2023 to 2024, Ramesh attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where they pursued an Executive MBA in Digital Business Transmission.

Between 1999 and 2003, Ramesh studied at Annamalai Universality, obtaining an MA and MBA in Foreign Trade Management & Economics.

From 1996 to 1999, Ramesh completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics at the University of Madras.

Between 1993 and 1995, Ramesh attended Sree Ramakrishna Vidhyalaya, CDM, where they earned a Pre-Degree degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences.

In addition to their formal education, Ramesh has also obtained several certifications. In September 2021, they became NISM Certified III-A, VI, and V-A through the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). In July 2020, Ramesh completed certifications in Digital Transformation, PowerPoint Tips and Tricks, Sales: Selling Financial Products and Services, and Strategic Thinking through LinkedIn.
