Rakesh Kumar Sharma has extensive work experience in various leadership roles and industries. Rakesh Kumar currently holds the position of SVP & Business Head at Leverage Edu since November 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Regional VP & Business Head at JioMart Partner from March 2022 to October 2023. From November 2019 to March 2022, they were the Head of Retail Operations, eCommerce & Customer Fulfillment at Hippo Stores. Before that, Rakesh worked at METRO Cash & Carry India Private Limited as the Vice President (Business Head)- Punjab & East India from May 2017 to November 2019. Rakesh Kumar also had a significant tenure at Walmart, where they held multiple roles including Head of eCommerce, Omni-channel and Digital Transformation, Market General Manager Western India, Store Manager( DGM), Best Price Modern Wholesale, and Developmental Store Manager, Walmart Intl. Rakesh started their career at Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd as a Territory Sales Incharge and later worked at Jio-bp as a Sr. Manager Central Network Planning- North and Area Manager. Prior to their current role, they served as the City Head, Hyper Mkt - Big Bazaar at Future Group India.

Rakesh Kumar Sharma has a diverse education history. Rakesh Kumar obtained an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, during the years 2020 to 2022. In 2021, they pursued a certificate in Design Thinking from Stanford University. Rakesh also holds a certificate in Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies from Harvard Business School. Furthermore, they have completed a certificate in Strategic Retail Management from the Indian School of Business and a PGDSM degree in Sales and Marketing from NIS Sparta. Rakesh's earlier academic achievements include a B.Sc Honors degree in Electronics from Savitribai Phule Pune University and completing their 12th grade in Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Deolali, Nashik.
