Shandra Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Shandra began their career in 1996 as a Purchasing Manager at CoSine Communications. From there, they worked as a Realtor at RE/MAX Gold and Cornerstone Homes, assisting clients in the buying and selling of properties. In 2007, they served as the Director of Finance and Acquisitions at Wireless Capital Partners. In 2008, they co-founded OnTrak Solutions, Inc. and also took on the role of Executive Director at Life OnTrak, where they provided financial education and support to low-income individuals and families. Shandra later became the Director of Education Operations at My Secure Advantage in 2021. Throughout their career, Shandra has demonstrated a dedication to helping others and bringing value to both individuals and communities.

Shandra Thomas graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Small Business Management, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications. In 2002, Shandra obtained a Real Estate Salesperson certification from the California Department of Real Estate. In 2012, they became a Certified Credit Counselor through the NACCC (National Association of Certified Credit Counselors), and in 2014, they obtained the Certified Student Loan Counselor certification from the NACCC as well. Shandra further expanded their knowledge and expertise by becoming an Accredited Financial Counselor through AFCPE® (Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education®) in 2017. Most recently, in 2020, they completed several certifications on LinkedIn, including "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," and "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging."
