Mike Thyken

Mike Thyken has extensive experience in the technology industry, with a focus on information technology management and advisory roles. Mike currently serves as the CTO and a member of the Board of Governors for GoNo Food Finder LLC, a food-healthtech company. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the development of a patented recommendation engine and mobile app that assesses the health benefits of various foods based on individual medical conditions and wellness goals.

Prior to their current position, Thyken was an advisor at Minnesota Emerging Software Advisory (MESA), a non-profit mentoring organization supporting start-up and emerging software companies. Mike also founded and served as the CEO of Cyber Technology Management, a management consulting firm specializing in IT assessments, interim CIO services, and IT strategies.

Thyken has served on various advisory boards and boards of directors throughout their career, including MyFormulary (USA), Summit Brewing Company, Agile Frameworks, LLC, and Braun Intertec Corporation. Mike has also held executive positions at CaringBridge, a global non-profit organization that builds communities of support for individuals facing health challenges, and SunOpta, a food company undergoing organizational consolidation.

Thyken's expertise lies in driving standardization and consistency in business processes and systems, improving IT credibility, and aligning technology with core product offerings. Mike has a strong track record of mentoring and supporting start-up and emerging software companies, contributing to their growth and success.

Mike Thyken obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Quantitative Methods (Computer Science) and Operations Management from the University of St. Thomas, where they attended from 1980 to 1983. Later, they pursued further education at the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, earning an MBA with a specialization in Strategic Management. Mike completed their MBA from 1989 to 1991.
