David Swanlund

David Swanlund is currently working as a Software Developer at MyHEAT, where David is responsible for full-stack development of Django and React based geospatial web products. With experience as a Graduate Researcher at Simon Fraser University, David developed a webtool for spatial data anonymization using Turf. js and OpenLayers. Additionally, David has experience as a Sessional Instructor and GIS Peer Facilitator, where David taught courses on GIS and provided consultation on technical and methodological issues. David also worked as Front Line Staff at MEC before pursuing their education at Simon Fraser University, where David obtained a PhD in Geography, an MA in Geography, and certificates in Spatial Information Systems.
