Eyal Elyashiv

Eyal Elyashiv is a seasoned bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Team Leader at MyHeritage since August 2019. Previously, Eyal worked at Roche Sequencing Solutions as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist from March 2017 to July 2019, and held a position as a Clinical Genomics Scientist at Ancestry from February 2016 to February 2017. Eyal's earlier roles include Bioinformatics Scientist at Lifecode, Inc., and participation as a Fellow at The Data Incubator. Eyal earned a PhD in Evolutionary Biology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, supplemented by a Doctorate from Columbia University, along with Master’s and Bachelor's degrees in Evolutionary Biology and Mathematics/Computer Science, respectively. Eyal's background also includes a role as a Software Engineer in the Israel Defense Forces and teaching mathematics at the Hebrew University Secondary School.
