Sophie Biffar

Sophie Biffar is a marketing lead at Kargo. Sophie has been in the marketing industry for over 5 years, starting as a digital marketing strategist at The OutCast Agency. Sophie then became an associate digital strategist, digital coordinator, and assistant account executive at GMMB. After 7 months, they returned to The OutCast Agency as an associate.

Sophie started their educational journey at UC Berkeley, where they studied business and marketing. Sophie then interned at Adobe for 4 months before becoming a research assistant at Stanford University. As a research assistant, they analyzed and coded financial newspaper articles from 1900 to present day. This information was then integrated into the Economic Policy Uncertainty Index.

Sophie’s love for film led their to an internship at cineplus Filmproduktion, where they were an assistant to Jörg Schulze and Katja Kuhlmann. Sophie analyzed and critiqued treatments and screenplays for feature films, prepared presentations and proposals for potential financiers and investors, wrote and edited subtitles for German films, and assisted the director with a Volkswagen commercial shoot.

After their various experiences in the marketing field, Sophie landed their current position as a marketing lead at Kargo. In this role, they are responsible for executing marketing initiatives and campaigns that drive business growth.

Sophie Biffar has a Bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley in German Studies/Political Economy from 2012-2014. Sophie also has an education from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2011-2012. Sophie completed their education at Scripps College in 2010-2011. Sophie also has a Data Analysis Circuit certification from General Assembly.
