Michael Lavatman has over 25 years of professional experience in the technology industry. Michael began their career in 1994 as a Software Engineer/Database Administrator/Team Lead for Lehman Brothers, Alliance Capital, SG Cowen Securities, and UPM-Kummene. In 1999, they became a Development Manager, VP at Citigroup, where they managed a cross-application development team and implemented internationalization of applications to 7 languages. In 2001, they joined Morgan Stanley as a Technical Lead, where they provided technical direction and project-management oversight on a number of cross-department application development projects. In 2004, they moved to JP Morgan as a Technical Project Manager, where they developed project plans, managed scope, execution, process changes, development schedules, and implementation timelines. In 2006, they co-founded SurveyPool, where they managed software development and operations of a marketing services provider. In 2010, they joined iQor as a Development Manager and then as a VP of Technology in 2014. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Chief Technology Officer at MyRegistry.com.
Michael Lavatman obtained their BS in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology between 1994 and 1996. In 1999, they earned a Certificate from the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) in the field of Capability Maturity Model and Six Sigma. In 2004, they earned a Certificate from New Age Training in Enterprise Project Management, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Michael also earned a Certificate from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in PMP preparation course in 2004. In 2005, they obtained their Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Michael also holds nine Microsoft Certified Professional Certifications and a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD).
