Spela Verdenik Smodis

Spela Verdenik Smodis has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. Spela began their career as a Research Analyst at Alta Invest, Investment Services, d.d. in 2007. In 2010, they moved to UniCredit as a Credit Officer, Team Lead. Spela then joined Bloomberg LP in 2011 as a Research Analyst - Bloomberg Industries. In 2014, they joined S&P Global Ratings as a Credit Data Manager. In 2015, they joined Bank of America as a Corporate Credit Underwriting - Large Corporations and Corporate Credit Underwriting - Restaurant Finance Group. Most recently, they were appointed Head Of Business Development at myTamarin in 2022.

Spela Verdenik Smodis has a diverse educational history. Spela obtained their B.Sc. from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2006. Spela then attended FH Joanneum, Austria from 2005-2006. In 2006-2008, they completed an M.Sc. in Business Administration with a focus in Finance from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Spela then attended the London Business School from 2013-2014, where they earned a Corporate Finance Programme. In 2012, they passed the CFA Level I from the CFA Institute. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Fundamentals of Project Management and Planning certification from Coursera in September 2015, and a BARREtoned Instructor certification from BARREtoned Ltd. in January 2015.
