Umakant Regmi

Umakant Regmi has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Umakant most recently worked as the Chief Engineer (LNG) at NSQL (Nakilat Shipping Qatar Ltd.) for over six years, where they were responsible for planning and controlling the ship's budget and liaising with regulatory bodies for inspections and certifications. Prior to that, they served as a Second Engineer on LNG vessels at NAKILAT, where they managed the technical operation, maintenance, and spare controls of the ships. Umakant also has experience as a Second Engineer at Executive Ship Management and as a 3rd Engineer at Wilhelmson Ship Management.

Umakant Regmi has a comprehensive education history in the field of engineering and marine studies. Umakant obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Goa Engineering College, which is under the Government of Goa. This education took place between the years 1999 and 2003.

In 2004, Umakant Regmi pursued further studies at the Institute of Maritime Studies Goa, where they obtained a degree as a Graduate Marine Engineer. Their focus during this program was on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, indicating their interest in the maritime industry.

Additionally, Umakant Regmi has acquired the certification of MEO Class I from DG SHIPPING LIMITED in December 2016. This certification further enhances their qualifications in the marine field.
