Nalagenetics was built with the passion to give access to personalized prescription to as many people as possible. Two of the co-founders have seen and felt firsthand the betrayal of drugs that were supposed to cure their family members, but instead caused them permanent side effects. It was then that they realized, without understanding how to best use them, innovations in pharma and biotech, meant little to the people who need it most.

The leadership team at Nalagenetics has a wide range of experience in both the public and private sector. They have worked as group leaders, research directors, visiting professors, unit leaders, and project directors at various institutions. These include the Genome Institute of Singapore, Dx assays, Yokohama City University Graduate School of Medicine, RIKEN, A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Genome Institute of Singapore. The team also has experience in the business world, having worked as MBA consultants at Asahi Europe Ltd and Nestlé, and as a senior product manager at Traveloka.
