Rodrigo Melo

Rodrigo Melo has a diverse work experience in the field of design and user experience. Rodrigo started their career as a Graphic Designer/Multimedia Designer at Technomedia/Computerland, where they designed user interfaces and hardware for multimedia kiosk solutions. Rodrigo then worked as a Research Fellow at Universidade Fernando Pessoa, where they focused on a project involving multimedia booklets and catalogs. Later, Rodrigo worked as a Web Designer at SinoDesign, a full-service advertising agency, where they incorporated a multimedia/new media approach into web design. Rodrigo then joined A Transformadora as a Senior Web Designer/UX, where they designed state-of-the-art solutions for clients in various industries. At Linc SA, Rodrigo worked as a UI/UX Web Designer, creating web solutions and facilitating consultations with clients and project teams. Currently, they are employed at Namecheap, Inc as the Head of Design Innovation, responsible for implementing new design solutions and paradigms. Throughout their career, Rodrigo has demonstrated expertise in design, UX, UI, IxD, and has successfully delivered product interfaces and digital platforms.

Rodrigo Melo's education history can be summarized as follows:

Rodrigo Melo pursued a Master's degree in Multimedia at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Postgraduate course in Multimedia Technology at the same institution from 2002 to 2004.

In 2002, Rodrigo undertook an internship in Telecommunications and Multimedia at Institute of Engineering of Systems and Computers of Oporto (INESC Porto), which lasted until 2003.

Before their postgraduate studies, Rodrigo obtained a Licentiate degree in Communication Design from ESADSE: Saint-Etienne Higher School of Art and Design in 2001. Additionally, they also earned another Licentiate degree in Communication Design from Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto between 1996 and 2001.

Rodrigo's high school education was completed at Escola Secundária Antero de Quental, where they obtained their High School Diploma in Design Technology in 1996.

In terms of additional certifications, Rodrigo Melo has obtained the "20480 – Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3" certification from Microsoft in June 2014. Rodrigo has also acquired certifications in Adobe Illustrator CS Graphics Creation from Rumos - Portugal, as well as Autodesk Maya Certified Professional Certifications in Animation and Modulation from the same institution.
