Gordon Leung

Gordon Leung has extensive work experience in the field of construction and engineering. Gordon currently holds the position of Associate Director of Research & Development (Construction) at Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Ltd. Gordon previously served as a Guest Lecturer at The University of Hong Kong and as a Secretary-General at Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory. Gordon has also held positions such as Deputy Dean at MTR Academy and Senior Technical Manager (Pavement Engineering) at Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Ltd. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Programme Leader in Civil Engineering at Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong and Chu Hai College of Higher Education. Gordon also gained experience as a Research Associate and PhD Researcher at Hong Kong Road Research Laboratory, and as a Geotechnical Engineer at Arup.

Gordon Leung holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, which they obtained from 1994 to 1997. Gordon further pursued their education and completed a Ph.D. in Pavement Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University spanning from 2009 to 2014. In 2021, they obtained a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University and a Professional Certificate in Green Power from Imperial College London. Additionally, in 1997 to 1998, they obtained an MSc in Foundation Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
