Nathan Castro

CTO at NANOCHON

Nathan Castro is the CTO at NANOCHON. Nathan was previously a JQI Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from October 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from October 2016 to October 2018. Nathan has also worked as a Co-inventor/Design and Manufacturing Advisor at SonoStik, LLC from January 2014 to January 2016, and as a Doctoral Student at The George Washington University from August 2011 to May 2016. Nathan's research experience also includes positions as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at El Paso from November 2010 to August 2011, and as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at El Paso/ W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation from January 2006 to July 2010. Nathan's undergraduate research experience includes positions as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory - PNNL from June 2005 to December 2005, and as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory - PNNL from June 2004 to December 2004.

Nathan Castro received their PhD in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from The George Washington University. Prior to that, they earned their MS in Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso, where they also completed their undergraduate studies with a BS in Chemistry.
