Matthew Caprio

Matthew Caprio has extensive experience in project and program management, engineering, and research. Matthew has worked at various companies such as NanoString Technologies, Inc., Verathon Inc., Balcones Technologies, HelioVolt, and the University of Texas, Center for Electromechanics. In their most recent role as a Sr. Principal Program Manager at NanoString Technologies, Inc., they are responsible for overseeing program initiatives. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Project Manager and Sr. Project Manager, R&D at the same company. Matthew has also held positions as a Program Manager, Product Development at Verathon Inc., a Senior Engineer at Verathon Inc., a Senior Consulting Engineer at Balcones Technologies, and a Team Lead Equipment Engineering/Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer at HelioVolt. Additionally, they have research and engineering experience from their time at the University of Texas, Center for Electromechanics, where they worked as a Research Engineer and Graduate Research Assistant, and at the Korea Institute for Machinery and Materials. Matthew Caprio earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1996. Matthew then pursued further education at The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 1999.
