Mike Harkins

Mike Harkins has a wealth of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on sales and commercial operations. Mike has held various leadership positions throughout their career, starting as an Account Manager at Invitrogen in 2000. Mike then progressed through different roles and companies, including Regional Manager at Invitrogen Corporation, Director of Sales at Invitrogen, Vice President of Commercial Sales for the West Region at Life Technologies, and Vice President of Global Commercial Sales at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Most recently, they served as the SVP Commercial Operations at Opentrons, Pandemic Response Lab. In their current role as Vice President of Global Sales at NanoString Technologies, Inc., they are responsible for leading the global sales team and driving growth initiatives. Mike has a proven track record of success, including leading the successful sale of Edico Genome to Illumina for $100M. Mike has consistently achieved above-market growth and has been recognized with numerous awards throughout their career.

Mike Harkins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Thomas Jefferson University. Mike also has a certificate in Accounting and Finance from The Wharton School. Additionally, they have obtained the ASCP Medical Technologist certification.
